Man Charged In Bernal Heights Murder
In San Francisco legal news, According to reports murder charges and attempted murder charges have been brought by the San Francisco Prosecutors Office for a double shooting in Bernal Heights against alleged suspect Max Reyes.
The police have stated that the shooting occurred in the unit block of Fair Avenue in the vicinity of Mission Street at approximately 8:20 p.m. The shooting took place inside the home of John Rogers age 36 who was killed during the incident and another person present during the shooting that was wounded and later transported to the hospital. Police have stated this person who remains unidentified is expected to fully recover.
In a statement from the police they believe that their were two people present during the time of the shooting along with Rogers and the unidentified person who was shot. Twenty four year old Max Reyes has been arrested and charged by prosecutors with murder, attempted murder, burglary, robbery and assault with a firearm. According to the District Attorney’s Office has stated Reyes has also been charged with possession of marijuana for sale. Reyes is expected to be arraigned shortly on the charges in the San Francisco Superior court according to the prosecutors office.
Cab Driver Arrested For Alleged Sexual Assault
Hey guys I just got back from Seattle and I wanted to share this rather shoc king car related crime coming out of Colorado state. According to the Denver District Attorney’s Office a taxi driver who has been identified as Patrick McCracken (age 39) is accused of sexually assaulting a female passenger. McCracken has stated that the sexual encounter was consensual.
Prosecutors have stated that it was impossible for the woman to give her consent due to the fact that she was intoxicated at the time of the assault. The passenger, a 21 year old woman had been out celebrating her 21st birthday, when she rode in McCracken’s car. The woman stated that she passed out in her home and upon waking up; she found that McCracken was on top of her, and the prosecution believes that this was no accident. She has also stated that he gave her a credit card receipt and then told her to clean out his taxi because she had gotten sick in the car during the ride to her residence.

Indicted Judge still hearing Court cases
According to media reports, Federal Judge Samuel Kent who will be facing various charges of an obscene nature with a former employee will still be hearing cases in the Southern District.
A federal criminal investigation which started in November of 2007 after a former case manager made a complaint that Judge Kent had physically touched her under her clothing on at least 2 different occasions. She furthermore stated that during the 6 year period in which she was employed Judge Kent had made some obscene suggestions to her.

San Jose Police Officer Found Guilty
In the case of Kenneth Earl Williams a San Jose police officer age 27 was found guilty by a jury of forcing a 16-year-old teenager to give him photographs of him naked.
This unfortunate and criminal incident happened in 2005 when the teen was a student and basketball player at Scotts Valley High School. Tuesday may have been the day of the winning team when a Southern California team brought in a Pacific Blue Marlin that weighted in at 973 pounds. On the second day of the tounament the Laguna Niguel Billfish Club brought the fish in and this is the second largest marlin to be brought in during the tournaments history. The largest marlin that was brought in during a Hawaiian International Billfish Tournament was in 1986 and weighted 1,062 pounds and oddly enough the same angler’s club brought in the marlin. The catch was landed by Robert Dudley after fighting the Billfish for approximately two and a half hours. Dudley said that the marlin did not sound off and that was fortunate for the team, he also said that they now have enough points to move past the team from Japan.
The team was aboard the Magic II and it was skippered by Marlin Parker, Parkers late father named him after he was credited in 1954 for landing the first grander in United States waters.
Helicopter Crash Manufactures Defect
The National Transportation Safety Board investigators are stating they believe that a tour helicopter that crashed last year was due to a manufacturers defect.
The helicopter crash that occurred last year in Hawaii that killed one passenger and injured three others is thought to have been caused by a defect that caused the tail rotor system to separate from the helicopter.

The couple is identified as Douglas and Judy Barton, Judy Barton was paralyzed from the waist down in the crash and Douglas Barton sustained back injuries. Southeast Portland Bonfire Turns Deadly
According to reports two men were arrested after a fight that took place in a woman’s front yard in which she was stabbed.
The men who were arrested have been identified as Hector Luna Melchor age 20 and Diego Rodriguez-Perez, both were arrested after an incident occurred in the front yard of Jeanette Turner’s property located at 3018 Southeast 145th Avenue. The arrest will have them answer to criminal charges in Multnomah County Court.
According to reports Turner along with neighbors and other guests were attending a bonfire in her front yard when the two men were walking past Turner’s yard. Someone that was attending Turner’s bonfire made a comment at which time a fight ensued that quickly turned violent when Melchor stabbed Turner.
The fight between Malchor and Rodriguez-Perez and Turner’s guests occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m.
Turner was transported to OHSU Hospital in serious condition, it has been released that the wounds were not life threatening.
One of the people involved in the fight and witness was a friend of Turner’s from Oregon City that has been identified as David Holton. Other guests and neighbors of Turner’s names have not been released at this time.
